Turn Your Casual Photos into Patchwork Patterns – Free Webinar

Quilters tend to see patterns everywhere: at the flower stand, in a city's architecture, in the fencing around a playground. Many of us do a quick sketch or snap a picture of these patterns for future reference. But what happens next?

In this free webinar, Creative Eye Opener: Turning Your Casual Photos into Patchwork, Christina Lane and Diane Gilleland will show you how to use those images as inspiration to create patchwork patterns. The live event will be held August 6, 2013, 3 p.m. EDT. (19:00 GMT)

Here's what you will learn in this fun and informative tutorial:

  • First we'll look at a group of casual snapshots for patterns.
  • Next, Christina and Diane will show you how to translate those patterns into shapes in fabric.
  • Then, they will demonstrate how to turn your finished patchwork piece into a lovely removable cover for a standard-size Moleskine-style sketchbook.

There will be plenty of time to ask Diane and Christina questions about the process.

  1. Thank you so much for setting this up to be able to watch it later. Not really sure that I can be up and alert by 5am, but am really interested to watch this seminar. Thanks again – look forward to watching it.

  2. I missed the 1pm GMT viewing on 8-6-13
It is something I have wanted to do for years to use my photographs in fabric creations. I even purchased a new sewing machine for this project.
Then I missed the webinar program.
Is there any way I can see a rebroadcast and make of copy?
I would also like to note that the time of the webinar became the confusing factor for me to miss the program. I live in Arizona and thought the program started at 3pm NOT!
I did register and wish to see the program and record it to my computer CAN I? will I receive an email concerning my concern to see and record?
thank you, margeost yahoo com Prescott Arizona
