Floral Art Quilts From Our Readers

18 Apr 2011

Everyone knows the saying "April showers bring May flowers." Well, it's most certainly raining here in Massachusetts and I'm ready for the flowers! Yesterday I saw a few courageous daffodils in my yard. I was overjoyed by the burst of yellow in my mostly-brown garden and that got me thinking about how I might celebrate spring by showcasing some of the amazing floral art quilts made by our readers.

Flowers are truly a great motif for art quilting--there's so many fabulous shapes, colors, and textures. Best of all, floral art quilts keep their color all year long. So until my own garden is overflowing with color, I'm excited to share a few vibrant floral art quilts from our online photo gallery.

If you'd like to view more work by Quilting Arts readers or if you’ve made a floral art quilt you’d like to share, I welcome you to visit the Quilting Arts Photo Gallery.
