I have a correction to make after reading the EQuiter Hurricane Sandy Relief update on the Quilting Daily FB page; the goal is 5000 quilts and they would like them to be no smaller than twin size. There is a new address to send them to at Timeless Treasures.

I would make a star quilt using the xblock ruler ,my go to pattern for charity quilts. It is quick and easy but looks really complicated. I have made several of these for Soldiers Angels and Linus .

I would make a quick strip quilt or maybe a coin quilt. Anything quick and easy without triangles.

I think a simple quilt using pinwheels is one of my favorites to make.

Well, I am a beginner quilter. As a matter of fact, my quilting education is growing thanks to Quilting Daily. It is so exciting to learn a new craft. My files with examples and instructions has so many ideas for projects. My first will be a baby quilt with stacked coins in a modern style.

Something warm, something safe. Fun beach houses, sea items or a warm fire. Images of home and safety. That is what I would want. Reminders of home and a settled life. A quilt to wrap up in.

My son and grand children live in N J and were affected by Sandy. They just got electricity after 3weeks . They have lots of quilts that I already made them so I have sent and would send more to those on the Jersey shore if I won the fabric. I like making quilts with sea life and I'm sure others would also

I live within driving distance of the Jersey Shore

A friend of ours has collected one semi of clothing, shoes, food, water and personal care items. He delivered it the weekend after the storm, and saw it distributed. We cleared out closets of coats and donated them this last Friday, he is working on the second truth load to be taken down for these poor people.

If I win I would donate the quilt to be delivered by my friend to the least among these people.

My heart breaks to think of the children who have lost their homes. I would make at least a couple quilts in a fairly simple but cheerful pattern, perhaps Crayon Box, to bring some warmth, love and reassurance to some kids affected by the devastation. I have a variety of colorful flannel pieces at home that would make cozy backs for the quilts too! I've been making and gifting (and donating) blankets and quilts for babies and young children for years and would love this opportunity to help Sandy victims with either collection of this beautiful cloth.

I would make an "Accentuate the Positive" quilt with the collections.
