The Houston International Quilt Festival; November 3 – 6, 2011

It is hard to believe that it is that time again. Almost a whole year has passed since thousands of quilters stormed into Houston, TX to get their fill of everything quilt related. Each year, Quilts Inc. hosts the International Quilt Festival, Houston, and each year the show continues to amaze people with the size of the show floor; the volume of quilters that turn up; and the new techniques, products, and classes that are presented at this show.  (For more information about the show, visit

If you have never attended a quilt show, or even if you have and somehow missed us (on the gigantic showroom floor) Quilting Arts and Cloth Paper Scissors runs a section of the show floor called Make it University™.  This section of the show floor features hour long, $15.00, all supplies included classes. Show attendees can sign up (lottery style) on the show floor to take the classes – and always walk away with a smile and a handmade something!  If you are attending the show this year, you should definitely make a point of stopping by to see us!

Quilting Arts and Cloth Paper Scissors wants YOU to help us make this another memorable year in the Make It University™ section on the show floor. Do you have a small project or a cool technique that you are just dying to teach to a class of students? Can you think of one?

Currently, we are accepting submissions from teachers who want to teach an hour long workshop on the show floor. We are also accepting submissions for our Open Studios section, where artists sit on the show floor and demonstrate their work for 2 hour blocks of time.

Interested? Want more details? Email me at to get more information!!

Hurry – we are only accepting submissions through Friday, September 9th, so make sure to get in touch before then!
