I resolve to make my resolution obtainable! I intend to create things start to finish...that means going beyond the dreaming and drooling over my Quilting Arts and Cloth Paper Scissors mags and ACTUALLY doing some projects! I've got several lists going in my Evernote "Stuff I Want To Do" notebook, so that when I have a few minutes to create, I can look at my list and get on task!

My New Year resolution is to pass along all the still useful miscellaneous art supplies that I am not absolutely in love with, (therefore, not using).

We have a marvelous place in Portland called SCRAP, which offers recycled art supplies to individuals, classrooms,etc.

I already have one box ready to go.

The thought of this makes me feel that my life and my studio is more spacious. A very good thing.

I have quite a few sewing related resolutions. I am going to make new curtains for our home-- every room, so I'll be busy doing that! Also, I'm planning a re-do of our guest room. I have a small arm chair that I want to reupholster and would like to repaint, make a new coverlet, dust ruffle and pillows for the bed, and then crochet a scrap rug to match... :-) Thank you for the chance to win the Riley Blake fabric bundle!! My resolution is already in motion: I've started experimenting with free-motion quilting, which I suspect will become further entwined with the hand sewing/fabric collage and knitting work I've been doing the last few years.

I just finished making my large living room into a studio with south/west exposure! It's so bright and sunny and (at the moment) organized. I will be quilting, watercolor painting and mixed media projects. I am resolving this year to spend no less than 15 minutes each day in my studio reading, experimenting, working on and completing projects. Hopefully by the end of the year, I'll have my UFO drawer empty!

I have started to take time to sew, quilt and create art by joining with my daughter, grand daughter and friend in a block a month group. This will let us create and share even though we live 700 miles apart. Organizing supplies. Giving away some books and magazines that others might enjoy. Making my home a more inviting place for friends and family to come and create is also on my "list". I have not mentioned UFO's because it is overwhelming at times. I hope to get in one every other month! I enjoyed reading the comments, great ideas and thoughts to relate to!

My resolution is to GET OUT OF MY HEAD and actually do all the stuff I dream of doing. Whatever is holding me back, Be GONE! I have so many projects ready to go, that I really must FOCUS and get moving. (really must find the pleasure of doing and finishing things, as opposed to dreaming of them)

For 2012, I plan to start using all the wonderful sewing & craft books books that I just "had to have" by choosing one thing a month from one of them. Hopefully the ones I don't make a project from by the end of the year will be passed on to someone that will use them. This way I can add new ones without guilt!

My resolution is to complete one UFO and begin another project every month.

Have all my supplies and equipment organized (already started)in one place. Sew something useful for my mother. Make a service project. Seems like a lot.

My craft related idea just got even better when I read your plan of doing one craft a month. My plan is to finish all those wonderful projects I have been gathering material and patterns for through out the past few years. I am in the process of getting my sewing area really organized, but I couldn't or hadn't come up with a definitive plan of "how" to get started and BINGO! Now I know, instead of feeling overwhelmed anid not knowing where to start, I will pick ONE project for each month. Since this month is almost half gone, I shall choose to finish a Christmas apron that I cut out several years ago and never finished. What a wonderful head start on Christmas gifts for 2012 this will be.

( I feel frugal this year...the old Use it up, Make it do, or Do without adage is going to be my motto..in fact I may even paint that saying on my sewing room wall)
