This past Wednesday and Thursday, the Quilting Arts editorial team (Pokey, Helen, and myself) decided to take a little road trip. As of right now, the purpose of our excursion can’t be divulged, so I’ll share some non-work-related tidbits to give you a sense of what we editors do when we’re not knee-deep in articles and art quilts.
Pokey drove and helped pass the time by blasting the Black Eyed Peas:

After a long day of traveling on Wednesday, we happily arrived at our super chic hotel which had its very own gazebo:

Even more exciting was the fact that the hotel’s “deli restaurant” had a pickle bar. And not just any old pickle bar, but The World’s Largest Pickle Bar (I love pickles, so this really was exciting):

Dinner came wrapped in foil and covered in grease—delicious:

For dessert? The tallest cakes I have ever seen:

The next day, we enjoyed the sunshine in beautiful Brooklyn, NY:

And spotted a cute UPS delivery guy:

It might not look like it, but I promise we actually had a very productive trip. What about all of you—any good road trip memories?
