I loved riding around my bicycle, down hill especially to feel the breeze on my face, and drinking my Mom's homemade lemonade. I read books sitting under the willow tree, a favorite pasttime. We did not have a care in the world, it wasn't so scary as it is today. It was a carefree childhood and wonderful!

Hoping on my new 3-speed (woohoo!) bike, plunking my rabbit "Topsy" in the basket on the handle bars and racing off to the beach. I spent many a glorious summer day peering into and poking around the tide pools of the Westcoast. So lucky to have grown up near the water, though I don't think Topsy enjoyed it so much.

OMG I love this fabric! I have 2 aquatic turtles and I adore them!

My best summertime memories are of my Husband & I at the river. He fishes while I watch the wildlife! Its so relaxing and gives me plenty of time to think of new things to make :)

OMG turtles! I haven't seen a tiny turtle in years! I remember having several as a kid! In the summer time me and my sis would put them in those tiny plastic pools and pretend we were swiming with the turtles! Wow memories! Thanks for the having the giveaway!

Oh.. turtles and snails are cute.. as print on fabric, I like turtles (real turtle) ...but I don't like snail.

In my country, we don't have summer, just dry season and rainy season.. so I don't have summertime memories..

Is this open for international address?

I have many fond summer memories but I guess my favorite would be when I was a young teenager, I hung out at a riding stable. I would clean horses and their stalls in exchange for a chance to ride for free. There was such a sense of freedom when you rode a horse. It probably drove my parents crazy that I would clean up after a horse but not my room :). Oh the things we did as children back then that would give a parent today a heart attack.

My favorite memory was wanting to sleep outside but there was a call for rain in the forecast. So my twin sister and I put our sleeping bags in the back of the pickup truck (which had a cab/cap? over it). I remember feeling so awed as the storm rocked the truck and the lightning lit up the interior of the truck, but we were big girls (probably 9) and we stayed out there all night. i grew up in southern california. as a teenager, almost every year during the summer, our church youth group would travel to the san bernadino mountains to play in the snow. i remember thinking how funny it was to drive a mere 3 hours from the hot and dry san fernando valley to the cold and snow of big bear lake. my best memory was how it felt to fly down those snow covered hills on our huge innertubes with that chilly wind in my face. such freedom!

I just got back from a week on the Maine coast - ah, bliss! I didn't discover Maine until I was almost fifty (now 56) and have vacationed there five times now!

But my favorite summertime memory is going to Virginia Beach with a friend and my 15-year-old daughter many years ago. We had a great time together and still talk about it 21 years later.

My summertime memories include Maine, too. I spent all my summers as a child/teenager in Maine with my family renting a cottage on a lake. AAHHH Maine Memories. Thanks for the giveaway

I have such fond memories of spending time with my grandparents in rural Mississippi -- collecting and playing with "rolypolies," playing house under the weeping willow, swimming and then going for a root beer float at the soda fountain in the city dgrugstore and catching lightening bugs to "light" my bedroom at night, playing cards and games with my Nana and Papa, and finally, the back rubs I'd get from Nana's soft hands just before we'd say prayers and go to bed for the night. Ahhhh, such sweet memories!

I grew up on a wheat farm and some of my favorites summer memories have to do with wheat harvest and tasting the grain right from the field. I still love it even though I don't live there anymore:)
