**Please note there is a 10/1/08 update in the post below...
Studios is here!
In case you hadn't heard the news, the new Cloth Paper Scissors STUDIOS issue is now available! It is absolutely gorgeous (thanks to the hard work of editor Cate Prato and all of the artists who graciously sent in submissions). This edition is full of inspiring studios and ideas for organizing, no matter how large or tiny your space is. If you haven't ordered your copy yet or picked it up on the newsstands, I hope you will, and let us know what you think of the issue!
Fabric Winners
I want to thank everyone for letting me know what workshops, shows, and retreats you went to in 2008. Some of them I hadn't heard of so I'm glad I asked!
Congratulations to the following 15 winners of the the latest fabric giveaway. If you see your name below, please email me directly with your full name and mailing address. Please (and this is important) in the subject line write: FALL FABRIC WINNER! I will then compile all the names and send these bags of fabric out by the end of the week. Congrats to:

Fabric Winners UPDATE: If there is no asterisk next to your name, it means I have not gotten an email yet with your name and address. I really need to get these bags out by this Friday for time reasons, and I am shipping all of them at once. If I do not hear from those above (with no asterisk next to name), by Thursday 9:00 AM EDT, I am afraid I'll need to pick new names so that I can get all of these out on Friday. Thanks for your understanding, and I hope to hear from you.
Two New Challenges for Cloth Paper Scissors
Today we announced two new challenge opportunities, one for our first-ever Cloth Paper Scissors wall calendar to debut in 2010. I hope you'll participate! Click here to find out more.
On a much more personal note, I had a very special day yesterday. My mother (who lives in Henderson, NV) was in Boston along with her husband as part of their New England vacation. It was so nice to have a little mom time; it had been too long since the last time we visited. My step-dad, John, my mom, and I strolled through the Boston Garden then gorged ourselves on a seafood brunch. I may be just a tad partial, but isn't she cute? My birthday is in a couple days and I couldn't have asked for a better present than to have a day with good ole' mom.
Here's to a great beginning to the work week!
