A Thanksgiving, Quilt-y Treat For You...

24 Nov 2010

We have an early release day here this Wednesday afternoon at Quilting Arts in order to get ready for tomorrow's festivities, and I don't know about you, but Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday. No pressure for gift-giving or receiving, you just enjoy a tasty repast and the company of family and friends. I'm back in Massachusetts and looking forward to being with John's extended family, seeing my nieces and nephews home from college, talk wedding plans with one nephew who is marrying his college girlfriend next summer.

And since I don't live here full-time anymore, they put me on shrimp detail. I think I can handle that!

So speaking of Thanksgiving, I thought to share this image I took a couple of years ago at the bottom of my driveway. Thank goodness I had my camera with me...

I knew this would make for great thermofax screen material, so made a screen. Feel free to copy this image and use for your own use, whether you make it into a screen, a stamp, a stencil...

Happy Thanksgiving! Just remember when dinner is over and you're cleaning up, don't throw the kids in with the trash...

Shrimp detail?  For Thanksgiving?  Hmmmm... I need to join your family.  I love the family time together at Thanksgiving too. (and the food!)

My favorite holiday also!  I miss my New England days - it is what Fall and Thanksgiving should look like.   To me wherever I live now, I think of those images.

Thanks for the Turkey image!  Have a good time with out family - Pat

Love the picture of the turkey.  We saw wild turkeys during our Thanksgiving dinner this year (lots and lots of wild turkeys --maybe 30 or so) but there was no way to get close enough to get a good picture; not even by zooming in on them.  So thanks for sharing your turkey pic.
