Meet the very talented Ana who not only has been a Quilting Arts calendar artist, but has been a Quilting Arts cover girl--twice!
Beautiful!!! Such fabulous bright colors and design. What kind of paint does she use?
Yay for you Anna! : )
Beautiful work...congratulations on making the cover again! The tulips made me feel so much better about spring with all the snow still hanging around here.
Thanks Pokey, once again for a wonderful opportunity. And to clarify, I do paint other things! :) although the pears happen to be the ones I teach at my introduction to fabric painting class; each time I teach a class, I end up with a new pear. Also, I am teaching a workshop at Heritage Park here in Calgary in May, and they wanted other samples made with the pear ... hence the pear pillows, and the pear book cover, and the pear wall hanging ...
To answer SomethingLisa who asks what kind of paint I use: I use fabric paint mostly: Jacquard Textile Paints, Pebeo Setacolor and I also have some Stewart Gill that I mix and match to obtain the colors I need. I have also taught the class using Liquitex Soft Body acrylics with fabric medium. As a matter of fact, the apple pillow is painted in acrylics and fabric medium. The Tulip quilt was painted with artists quality acrylic paints with fabric medium also.
Hope that helps!
Ana
