So I placed a 36 inch wooden rod on the side wall near my fireplace. As soon as I finish an "art quilt" piece, I hang it there to view, and critique it. I love being able to see new designs as I continue to grow in my work. When I look at the display - I sometimes feel the need to take it down to add that little something extra. I just used to roll up the pieces and stick them in a closet. Now, I have moved to a new level by learning to appreciate my own work - instead of thinking it's not good enough.

I'm struggling a bit on how to dye the silk velvet I got some dy-na-flo and will play a bit tonight...can i use that on silk organza too? oh to avoid buying too many more supplies...the dilemma of a hoarder of art supplies...*giggle*

As an art therapist I know that this is part of my medicine...healing arts is a powerful thing...thanks for inspiring my creative spirit with your wonderful magazine! I pray each year that someone will buy me the calendar for a birthday present...i leave hints everywhere...maybe this will be the year...blessings, jodi (a proud EtsyMom and future survivor of *** cancer)

But the past couple of weeks I have not been able to work on them as much as I would like because of all the packing I am trying to get done.
I loved reading your blog and what everyone else is busy working on, it helped get me through another day of not being able to quilt.
