I must say that your hand dyed fabric is an inspiration. What fabulous colors. I have recently become interested in fabric paint, stamps, and the likes and wonder if you would take the time to share with me a few of your favorite books on the subject. My new years resolution is to use up some of the wonderful fabrics I already have to make up an art quilt. I have put it off long enough. I am hoping to use as many techniques as possible. Should be fun and challenging. I realize that your contest is over but could not resist a comment.

I am going to convince my book club to switch to fabric painting and printing. (This should be fun...) I am also going to start on the Klimpt inspired quilt which has been rummaging around in my head for a year now!

Eventhough, I am just reading your blog for the first time, I want to let you know how much I enjoy watching your show and reading your magazines. I am inspired. I wish I was retired and could play all I want. Right now I am a weekend player and getting back into quilting. I love the more contemporary versus traditional methods of quilting, and I learning so much. Thanks you so much for all you do to inspire.

My ARTful resolution is to do a wall quilt that I have promised myeself to finish this year that is devine.

In the spring, I would love to do some fabric dying as they are the best fabrics ever. I make fairies and soft sculpture dolls and the hand dyeds are perfect for them as no 2 fairies are the same and they do not like to dress the same. They are very competitive. Kelli M

My artful resolution is to complete at least one project a month and get my daughter to complete one project a month. She is 13 and loves to create.

My resolution this year is to sketch every day and make a quilt journal page each week. So far so good and I think I could make a great project with some of that stash!!!

My 2010 artful resolution is to concentrate on techniques from at least one book per month from my library. I get so excited about a new book with new techniques and then don't seem to make the time to tackle the projects. This year I will. Bonnie Ouellette, Seneca, SC

My resolution is to try more, new for me, techniques on my ATCs so I can learn more about all the tools and supplies I purchased in 2009! This week: couching cool yarns I bought in December using my Bernina #43 foot.

my "it's a new year, let's get a fresh start on life" goals are:

to finish a portfolio worthy of grad school admission

apply for gallery shows

finish my best friend's wedding quilt (yellow and blue stripes checkers with bird hand embroidery)

My artful resolution is to do a bit of art each day (outside of my 10 work schedule) and to organize my art stashes so that when I am doing my art--even if I only have 30 minutes), I won't be spending most of that time looking for materials to work with! I have already started on the organizing. . . .now I must make sure I get my dedicated art time in each day.
