In thanks to those who sent money, you'll be getting a handmade coffee cuff (as seen in the latest Quilting Arts ) by Yours Truly. I have been immersing myself in making coffee cuffs ( a real hit with my friends who all drink Tim Horton's coffee here in Canada), sweet beads, flowers and weaving fabric in rug canvas. I highly recommend Fabric Leftovers for those fibre artists that like to experiment with small projects. I also loved the books, Landscapes in Contemporary Quilts and Creative Quilting, Journal Quilts.Inspirational books are always the best presents, even if I ordered them myself!!! I want to tell you that the 22 Quilting Arts Calendars that I ordered were a hit with friends and family. I gave them away for birthdays or Christmas Gifts. Each of my fellow artists in Fibre Art Studios now has one hanging in their studio! The most memorable event in my art career this year was the publication of my quilt in the 2007 Calendar. I think I was also a very enthusiastic sales person as well, I told everyone about the calendar: at Guild meetings, quilt shops, on line and to anyone who would listen. Quilting Arts magazine has certainly changed my artistic life. I so look forward to more issues a year. A sincere thank you Patricia, and to all the staff of Quilting Arts magazine. Warmly, Donna
