My lightbulb moment was picking up a copy of Quilting Arts at Barnes and Noble early this year and realizing that, I too, could go beyond a Log Cabin quilt (my favorite traditional quilt) now that everybody has a bed quilt, I had no limits. Er, well that was until my son got engaged this week, which means a wedding bed quilt to think about, but my whole way of looking at quilting has changed. I've now bought several of your books and would really like the money to buy your back issues on DVD to learn even more.

Then thrill of thrills I caught your show on PBS this past weekend (we haven't had TV for 5 years) and I wonder how long I can keep the HDTV box that is allowing us to see TV which my hubby is supposedly 'working on' for younger son's apartment. When it goes back my viewing days will be over again. I had never understood how screen painting was done until this show that I saw. Fascinating!

My best moment was this past weekend - I finaly got a new sewing machine (10+ years with a basic machine) and now I can do free-motion quilting and I am very excited to start! I am looking forward to some thread painting and all the other great techniques I see in the magazine.

P.S. Louie is adorable! My min pin would never sit still long enough to model! Louie must be very well behaved.

I enjoy reading and learning from all the Quilting Arts magazines. My favorite moment or moments however are seeing the wonderful quilts in the Quilting Arts calendar each month. I can't wait to see what is in store for next year! Love those Min Pins!! (I have 3)

My favorite thing about QA is the pure relaxation I am able to achieve when I sit quietly with the newest issue and just enjoy the eye candy and inspiration.

I would have to say that one of my favorite segments on Quilting Arts was the printing and stamping on fabric with fruit and veggies. I loved the fact that a lovely design could be created with the end of celery that is usually discarded, this is the ultimate recycling. Each segment of every show is inspiring as is each article of the magazine.

I love Quilting Arts and look forward to each issue with anticipation and zeal. I can't wait for it to arrive. It opens the doors to my creative side and allows another journey into uses of fabric and fiber. I am encouraged with the use of thread painting and loved the the "animal within us" ; soy wax batik is a "must do" on my list. Quilting Arts adds a special joy in my life.

I look forward to the next 10 years!

Cozmo, the just turned 9-year old Yorkie, would like to answer . . . while patiently waiting by his owner's side while she is doing one crafting project or another (most recently the Pet-ty quilt project), curled up in whatever scraps are laying on the floor . . .is learning that his hero, Louie, the min-pin, lives just down the street!

But seriously, sitting down with each QA Gifts publication is one of my most favorite things, reading about the projects, and making my lists of who will receive what and then diving in to get them done, is always a very special time and starts the holiday season off for me! I think about my upcoming gifts/creations while biking, running, walking . . . hoping I can remember all the details when I am ready to create them!

Thanks for providing us so much inspiration and fun!

Each time I watch a show or visit the on-line site I get excited to go down and just play with my fabrics and be creative. I love the variety of the shows and techniques that are displayed for viewing. I look forward to Tuesdays and Saturdays because I know I will be entertained and taught something new. Even if I have seen the show before I learn and see something I missed before. Keep up the good work Pokey and your wonderful Team.

My favorite experience I have had with Quilting Arts is the encouragement and inspiration I receive for my creative side. Until I found Quilting Arts I thought that because I didn't like following a traditional quilting pattern or piecing or hand sewing that I didn't like quilting. A friend of mine who is a long time Quilting Arts subscriber suggested your magazine, blog and website to me. I opened your pages and screamed "This is me!". Since then I have studied every issue from front to back. In each issue I have been so fired up to try new techniques and methods of quilting. Because of QA I not only enjoy quilting, but I consider myself a quilt artist. Thanks for the inspiration - Keep it up!

My favourite QA experience is buying DVDs. It's like having a teacher right in my computer. I could watch them on the TV but I love to get up close and person with the art work being demonstrated. Keep making those DVDs

Easy question - my favorite experience at thrill is seeing my work on the cover of the magazine with an article inside, of course! I will be very disappointed when the little offer at the bottom of this page (and other places) changes with the new issue offerings! I have enjoyed all of the issues, from the very first one I picked up and then finding the tv show it has all been inspiring.

Happy Birthday, Louie and QA. I've subscribed since the beginning. The articles on freemotion stitching are the most informative for me. I find it interesting to see the different techniques used by the different artists/authors.

My favorite is you, Louie! My brother had two min-pins and they were the sweetest and cutest dogs (and divas), just like you! I enjoy every issue of Quilting Arts and get lots of ideas. I ordered all the back issues and when I'm looking for inspiration, I like to randomly pull out a few and look through them. I love QATV because I'm a visual learner. Happy 10th anniversary!
