Quilting Arts TV Episode 1107: Modern Quilting and Modern Stitching Explored

24 Jan 2013

The modern quilt aesthetic has many elements that identify its style and we'll take a look at a few of them today. We begin with Penny McMorris and Anne Marie Chany, and a project that interprets modern quilts and offers a design challenge. Then, Angela Walters demonstrates traditional quilting designs with a modern twist. Finally, Libby Lehman returns with sewing in circles and using your circular sewing attachment.

Penny McMorris, center, and AnneMarie Chany, right, join Pokey Bolton on the set of "Quilting Arts TV" Series 1100.

Angela Walters prepares for her segment on traditional quilting with a modern twist.

At the end of PBS Quilting Arts segment Pokey Bolton states that you can watch the videos for free.  Why are the videos only 1 minuet or less?

Scam to redirect to this site, trivial facade for Quilt Arts magazine sales.

At about 5 min. in to the actual episode, they show Spinner as an example of designing in EQ7 and then the actual quilt. You can see a tutorial on how to draw this particular design on my blog. kissedquilts.blogspot.com/.../eq-tutorials.html Enjoy!!
