Welcome to the online home of the Quilting Arts television program found on Public Television programs across the country. Quilting Arts
celebrates the new look for quilting where art and embellishment meet
traditional quilt techniques. Hosted by Patricia (Pokey) Bolton the
editor in chief of Quilting Arts magazine, look to Quilting Arts
for the most innovative designs in quilting today. On the site you’ll
find projects, techniques and interviews with your favorite quilt
artists. Log in to Projects and receive the Quilting Daily newsletter and free access to all of our designs and projects. Visit “stations” to find out where to see Quilting Arts in your local market or to request the program.
Meet the Host:
PATRICIA CHATHAM BOLTON (Editor-in-Chief)
was introduced to embellished quilting and the related needle arts in
1998, and ever since she took her first stitch (a fly) and embroidered
her first motif (a spider), she has been entangled in this hobby and
doesn't envision herself free. Art quilting and mixed-media have, quite
literally, taken over her life--so much so that she left her doctoral
program and full-time teaching job to found Quilting Arts Magazine®,
and later with her husband John, Cloth Paper Scissors® magazine. She and
John live and work in Stow, Massachusetts.
