809 Mixed-Media Quilting
Today’s art quilt movement has opened up a whole new world of materials for quilting. Mixed-media is a very hot topic where our fabric is joined by fibers, thread, paint and so much more to create a new fresh look. It opens up so many possibilities for creating unique designs. Jennifer Solon is a perfect example – she’s demonstrating her mixed-media collages using hand-dyed textiles, papers, stitching, and paint. Then Jane LaFazio returns to demonstrate machine needle felting for stitched works of art. Finally, Lisa Kerpoe returns with more surface design – this time using everyday objects and a brayer on silk.
