To celebrate when we reach this milestone, I'm going to give away five bundles of Quilting Arts Magazine issues--including the first issue--to five randomly selected people who comment on this post.

I like to quilt because I like putting things together. Its like a puzzle in my mind that I have to make the pieces so I can put it together and enjoy the finished product.

I quilt because I love feel and smell of the fabric, the rhythm of the machine and the ability to create something totally new from just a few pieces of fabric.  I love everything about quilting!

I quilt because I have no other choice.  My life has meaning because I quilt.  And the bonus is that other like having me quilt too.  Of course it goes without saying that "Quilting Arts" has helped me tremendously to become the artist I am today.  Thank you, gang!

"I quilt because I enjoy fabrics and what happens when I touch them"  I quilt for Project Linus, I quilt for my family, I quilt for myself and I love sharing the love.  It's my expression and creative outlet, it's my view of the world around me.  And best of all, it's fun!  Love getting Quilting Arts because it's filled with inspiration and techniques that I think would be interesting & want to connect with other artists who feel the same way.

I like quilting because it gives me serenity. I draw with thread after sketching and incorporate fabric I purchase in my sisters quilt store - Quilters Haven! :)

it makes me feel creative.  I just finished a quilted/paper wall hanging for above our fireplace......did a lot of strip piecing on it.  It's great to use colors that go nicely with the wall colors.......everyone thinks you have a knack for decorating!

I quilt because it energizes me and allows something deep inside to find expression. Combining fabric pieces with snippets of yarn or ribbon, then adding hand-stitching, buttons, foil, paint, lace and assorted embellishments brings me great joy.
