Quilters are passionate about fabric, thread, embellishments, embroidery, surface design, and a whole lot more. But I think what we're most passionate about is sharing our artwork and techniques with others.
To celebrate National Craft Month, Quilting Daily and Interweave's other art and craft communities (Cloth Paper Scissors Today, Jewelry Making Daily, Sew Daily, Beading Daily, Knitting Daily, and Crochet Me) have chosen to "pass on our passion" by teaching a friend (or two or three . . . ) to create fiber art, mixed-media art, collage, surface design techniques, jewelry, watercolor paintings, or any other technique or project you've always wanted to try throughout the month of March.
I'm passionate about vintage textiles, modern quilts, patchwork, and hand embroidery—and that's just the beginning. I love sharing my passion with my art quilting group, Sisters in Cloth, and passing on my sewing, quilting, and crafting techniques to my children, friends, and coworkers.
How will YOU pass on your passion? Leave a comment about it to win!
Who are you planning to teach mixed-media and collage art techniques to in March? Tell us how you are passing on your passion during National Craft Month! Simply comment on this post for your chance to win a copy of the "Quilting Arts TV" Series 900 DVD set and The Best of Quilting Arts book (one gift for you and one for you to give your friend!). We'll randomly choose one lucky winner from all the comments at 9 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday, March 23, so comment before then for your chance to win.
This giveaway sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico), and Canadian residents (excluding Quebec); 18 years old or older at the time of entry. Click here to read the official rules.
Now, go pass on your passion!
