Has anyone tried this?  I know I didn't invent it.

Funky Foam is the stuff you buy at Walmart for 4.99 for a large package of 50 or so sheets and cut  into shapes.  It has sticky stuff on the back and what I did was put it onto a foam plate and brayer acrylic paint over it to print on muslin.

You can see what I did if you go to my blog:

This is one of my favorite materials. I can't tell you how many stamps I've made over the years with this stuff, both regular printing plate stamps and roller stamps (attach pieces to a wallpaper seam roller and you have an instant continuous stamp). The fabulous thing is that nearly every one of them is still in use today- this stuff is tougher than it looks and gets stronger with more applications of acrylics. I've also used it to make beads by melting it on a skewer or some other mandrel.

I use this for stamps too! It works great and is so inexpensive compared to other alternatives.

I went to your blog and LOVED your stuff! It does have the feel of Montana - one of my favorite places on earth.  You are a real colorist, Ruth.
