Hi

Ive recently discovered quilting arts and have found some great inspiration from the magazine/site.  I live in the UK and wondered if there are many other UK based readers out there as art quilts arent something ive seen much of in England- have i just been going round with my eyes closed :) ??

Welcome Amanda!  There's bunches of quilters on here from the UK.  I am sure some of them will chime in shortly!

Hi Amanda

There's alot happening in the UK.

The Quilters Guild have a group 'Contemporary Quilt'  http://www.contemporaryquilt.org.uk/index.html

Regional groups have started springing up where members can get together for workshops and learn from each other.

There's also the Festival of Quilts in August at the NEC. It is half retail therapy and half quilts to look at. You can enter, though it's too late for this year.

Hope this gets you started, Amanda.
