Some members had some questions about doing this since they had problems. I cannot answer all of them specifically since everyone's scanners, digital cameras, and various software are different. I can give some general answers.
When you are posting a message and want to insert a picture or scan of your artwork, you click on the little filmstrip you see in the title bar right underneath where is says "Description". The little filmstrip icon is green colored. Click on that icon. A pop-up window will appear that says "Insert Media".
If you are going to attach a picture or a scan, it should be a .jpg file. It should be a low res file. Low res files should be scanned at 75 dpi or smaller items can be scanned at 150 dpi. Minimize the artwork on the scanner so you don't get a huge pict of it. Something with a lot of detail or larger pieces should be scanned at 75 dpi. Smaller peices can be scanned at 150 dpi but should be minimized on your scanner. If you are not sure, it is best to do it at 75 dpi.
Back to the pop-up window, click browse and find your file/pict. Click insert and it should work. If your scan/pict does not show up, most likely the reason is because the pict is too large. If you hover your arrow/mouse over your file, it will tell you how large it is.
Tech Support says this is the limit on the Photo Gallery, I would assume that the posts have a similar limit:
"Currently it has a 64k limit on size, and will scale the image down to a max resolution of 550 pixels high, retaining original aspect ratio."
If your scan/pict is too large, you should be able to go in and edit it. Just go in and image size and change the resolution or size. Save the pict in its new size. Try inserting the pict into the post again and see if it works.
If you continue to have problems, the moderators and Tech Support will try and assist you as much as possible.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I have been driving myself nuts for 3 days trying to upload a simple photo. It was scanned at 300dpi, so obviously it wouldn't load. You saved me from throwing the computer right out the window! Have a great weekend.
