I have used soy wax as a resist while doing batik on fabric. Once all the waxing/dyeing has been done, and I have rinsed the piece (I use 100% cotton) , I boil the wax out. Almost all of the wax comes out but there seems to be a small amount left in. Will this small amount of soy wax be detrimental to my sewing machine/needle if I want to stitch through this free motion style to make a quilted wall hanging?
