Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me with a quilt using the flower garden as the basic
design alon with a robin perched on the fence (as seen on quilting arts series 801).
Please give me some ideas as to how I could begin this quilt.

a couple of questions - how big is the quilt gonna be ?
are you planning on dimensional, or entirely flat ?
when you say flower garden - does that mean a traditional grandmothers flower garden blocks (hexagons) as the background? or a more realistic landscape type effect ?
the final size of the quilt will determine how much detail you can put into it ; and will partially determine your construction methods. a larger quilt will let you get more detail into it. it also makes it easier to do dimensional flowers - if that is part of the plan.
