Has anyone help me with ideas to get more traffic to my blog? I have been writing for a few years and writing regularly and I just need some help to build up my following.

Hi Catherine,
If you have a facebook account you can link your blog to that site quite easily. Whenever you make a post on your blog share it on your facebook page. When I started my first blog, I simply emailed it to everyone I could think of. Also, put your blog address on your business card, stationery, or anywhere else people will see it. There's LinkedIn as well, although I've never had time to go that route.
I'm sure there are other ideas but hope this helps.

One of the easiest things that you can do is to comment on other people's blogs, therefore it all comes back to your blog and you.
Talk about your artwork on Facebook and always reference the url address of your blog, like this with http://JamieFingalDesigns.com/ Facebook will not bring up your current photo for your post, but you can add a photo from your picture program, or use the header from your blog.
Add your blog address to your signature on all of your e-mails
Design your blog to be easy to read, with a white or light gray background, not black. Have a 'wow' factor, upon opening, to keep people reading, and then coming back to read more. Add a gadget so people can follow you by e-mail and as a public follower.
Add visuals to every post. Artists are visual and like to look at pictures.

Hi again. Can I tell you how much I wish my blog was in order?
Etsy is a good idea, sales are slow during the summer, that's what etsy just said in an email.
My goal is to work from home with the internet. Do you think that's possible?
