Baby Diaper Bag

Busy putting the last touches like the straps to my hand quilted bag and now i want to make a baby diaper bag.  For my bag i used one hexagon for the bottom base.  For a diaper bag, would i use 3 hexagons for the base??

Wow, that's a great looking bag!  As for making a larger one, I might mock it up with paper and tape to make sure it will come out as you expect.
