I am trying to put together a label for my art quilts that I can use in art shows and exhibits, but I just have no idea where to start. Can anyone share this process with me? Jan
Labels are so important! Make sure you don't forget this. Whoever inherits your quilt will thank you!
Here are two resources:

Basically, write the name of the quilt, your name, your address (at least city and state), the date, and any other information that you feel is pertinent. You can design your label on your computer and then print it directly on fabric, or you can hand letter your label. Then make sure your label is attached in a permanent way so it can not be removed. Just a slip-stitch is not enough. Fuse it first, or attach your label to the backing and then do your quilting.
