  • Learning to experiment

I have to say I am not a sewer, my mother has always told me so so I just didn't try. I work in lots of different mediums but mainly mixed. The problem is that I collect fabric and I need to get my act together and start using it before it takes over the house. I love experimenting and am buying...

  • Lancaster AQS

Don't know where to post this. I'm excited because my quilt "Autumn's Glory Days" has been accepted into the Lancaster PA quilt show in March. It's the only the second quilt show I've entered the first being last September at our local guild show. So, I'm quite amazed...

  • Re: Forum Challenge - It's My Nature

"Peachy Posy" is among many FIRSTS in my life recently! We had a stormy Montana spring and those rainy skies became the inspiration for this design which began first as a sketch while longingly gazing out the window. It represents many "firsts" in my life, one of which was a time...

  • Re: Do you feel confident in your quilts artistic merits?

I just finished my 1st solo piece. It was quite an ambitious project so I'm really pleased to have achieved it. I laid it on my table and I admire it and have shown it to my friends and neighbors who think it is wonderful (so much for my doubts). Only I know there are mistakes in it, after all it...

  • Re: How often?

okieLinda - no that's not wasted time! I have lots of ideas percolating, some of which pop out sooner, some pop out later. I just started a pair of dolls that I conceived as a quilt 12 years ago. I could not figure out how to do them as a quilt. Thought about dolls but didn't know how at the...
