I am in the final stage’s (I believe I’m in the final stage’s) of my first landscape quilt. My inspiration was an Autumn Birch tree photo that I found on-line. I have attached a picture and was wondering IF you would be kind enough as to give me your feedback. Have I completely missed...

  • Quilted tags book

This Is a series I'm working on using memories and photos from our vacation last year to DC. I got the idea from a QA challenge on post cards and a book I found on fabric books. It's been a lot of fun. The first one came out very well. I printed a map and then I overdyed it. Hand drew with a...

You can also see my entire web posting about it at : http://auraquilts.com/archives/305 This was the first quilt block that I hand pieced for my mother’s quilt. • Goddesses - do they need more embellishment?

I have been working on a three part art quilt that incorporates inkjet prints, patchwork, embroidery and handmade lace to hang above my bed (on a dark brown wall, orange paisley bedspread but not other colors or artwork)). I can't decide if these need more embellishment, or if I'll make them...

  • Re: Critique for 60's Style

I think it is great. It has lots of movement. I'm not an expert so I could be wrong, but you have all the darkest parts on top. It looks balanced to me, but maybe try some dark near the bottom, too.

  • Generational piece

Hi, Over the weekend I have been working on a small art quilt which I plan to give to my sister who is about to become a grandma for the first time. Is it balanced ?? If the photo is not clear, the right hand side has wire bent into the words; sister, mother , grandma ... all the buttons used are mother...

  • I'm stuck

I've been working on this since January and I'm stuck. I don't know if I've lost the feeling or what. Where should I go next with this? You can see my outlines of what is supposed to go in. Also, I'm stumped on the background. I want to do some kind of forest-y looking trees. Thanks...

  • Fusible web transferred photos

This is a piece of rusted fabric with some photos that were transferred onto it using fusible webbing. The photos were then touched up with pastels and pencil crayons and covered with acrylic Gel medium. Now that I have gotten to this point I do not know what to do with it. I have had this hanging on...

  • Over all look & technique

I've never had other quilters comments on my work (except friends). So I'd like to know how this could be improved. I am a very new quilter and this was my second time to "color" the fabric with paints and pencils. My first is on my page and is called cup of joe. I think I'm getting...
