  • Re: suggestions needed

My sewing/craft room is an upstairs re-purposed bedroom that is 10x10 with walk in closet. The messiest liquid task I do is water color painting, so that is not too much of an issue. The issue is--- the dog. The dog-- and money. I went with the top level of Pergo laminate because it is meant to stand...

  • Re: Welcome to the Studios Forum

Hi, I'm chiming in again on this thread as I do appreciate the feedback. "Clutter" is indeed a relative term. Me? I like a lot of visual enticement and do just fine by clearing a space for the process at hand. My husband, who draws, must have everything just so before he begins. However...

  • Re: Welcome to the Studios Forum

Kathy: My studio is a sunroom, three walls of windows and four skylights, and really minimal wall space. It was featured in the very first Studios issue if you to see how I cope with the storage issue. I do have two bookshelves that are filled with fabric and I used tension rods at the top of each and...

In the Spring 2009 issue, Jennifer Maestra has stuff out all over the place and Lesley Riley shows how her fabric is stuffed in open wire baskets all...

  • How do you label it?

Hi everyone! I'm looking for fun ways to label things--boxes, jars, trays, and so on--in your studio. Do you print out sticky labels in a fun font? Use Scrabble tiles to spell out what's in a box? Handpaint the words? Draw a picture? Use a stamp? I'd like to feature pictures and brief descriptions...

  • Re: New Summer Studios Cover Revealed

too true; most of my quilt and art friends are gardeners of one sort of another so it's a good match. And I was just out participating in The Great Dandelion Hunt and using one of those bedding plant "flats" to put them in when it hit me what a wonderful stackable sorting tray it would...

  • Re: New Summer Studios Cover Revealed

I finally purchased my 1st Studios issue (Spring/Summer 09) and am as happily inspired by it as by all of the Interweave publications I've gotten my hands on! And inspiration is needed as my typical work/play turns almost the entire house into my studio which makes cleanup sort of a challenge. So...
