Does anyone know where I can get a DMY colour wheel to help me in my use of colour in my designs? A UK source would be preferable, as that is where I am located. Hope someone can help. Thanks

Hello Everyone, I want to share with you a design flaw I had and how I improved on it. If you go to my name (spirit2sew) and look at my files, you'll see a quilt called "Three Bales". I had that quilt critiqued by Sandra Sider and she recommended 3 improvements. One was to remove the clouds...

Belinda, Thanks for taking the time to respond. I've been reading a tour book about the places we want to see and I think that I"ll be able to immerse myself during the 5 weeks. I think it will be important for me to add words as you suggest so that I know what my intent was when I did the sketch...

Butterfly, thanks for the response. Good advice. You are correct in that senses other than sight can lead to compositions and some of it will be from my subconscious. I'll try to keep in touch but I will probably get limited time at Internet cafes.

I'm working on a piece now and I think it has a focal point. I tried to make it be the focal point anyway. The piece is representative of an aerial view of a place in Burma that has hundreds of temples scattered across miles. The city is Bagan (formerly called Pagan). I used photos I had of three...

So - I had a client coming over to look at my work and talk about a possible commission. I wrote about it on my blog . Anyway - the piece has me excited - which is always nice. There was however a problem - the piece has no real focal point. It was nice and interesting to look at but felt like it was...

I use varigated ones from Thread Studio alot. They work very well to retain the design without taking over.
