I am pondering making some fabric covered items that will receive some handling and therefore wear -- they will have some metallic surfaces -- commercially printed and printed by me -- metallics often wedar off -- any ideas on the type of product i could spray to maintain the metallics ???

Sorry for the late reply but I haven't had much time lately to monitor the forums. I've used Jacquard paints because they are found in the stores in my area. I think they do a very good job and the Jacquard Textile Paint works for sun printing, too. I worked with the Setacolor paint in a workshop...

I just tried to make dye paint by adding sodium alginate and let it stand overnight when I went to use it it was one big blob of jelly stuff. Does anybody have a fix for this? Is there a way to rescue it? It is so thick it will not squeeze out of bottle.
