Big Stitch News!

Our post today is from Stitch editor-in-chief Tricia Waddell.

Can you believe that Stitch is two years old? Whether you have been with us since issue one back in 2008, or you’ve just joined us, it continues to be incredibly exciting to celebrate our collective passion for sewing and design with every issue. So what could possibly better than getting Stitch twice a year?

Getting it four times a year!

Yep, you asked for more, so we are going to give it to you starting in 2011. We will be a quarterly publication starting with our winter issue, due out in January. Then look for us again in April, July, and October. I am doing a happy dance about this! And it’s all happening because of your incredible support of the magazine, and the Stitch team is eternally grateful. We owe you our heartfelt thanks and a big group hug!

What about a Stitch subscription, you ask? Well, we are working on that too. Stay tuned to the blog for more info soon once we get all the details worked out.

And just between you and me, we’ve got a few more special things brewing in the Stitch office that I think you’ll like, so we have a very exciting year ahead of us!

Which leads me to a little favor I need to ask…

It makes me happy to make you happy. Really, I mean that. So I need to hear from you, so you can tell me what you want from Stitch. Tell me what you like, what you think we could do better, and what you want to see in upcoming issues. Just go to this link to take our first ever Stitch Reader Survey so I can learn a little about you and how to make Stitch your favorite magazine in the entire universe. We will do a random drawing of 15 survey takers to get a free SideWinder bobbin winder (I have one of these and I love it!). And since we regularly get cool sewing tools and supplies in our office, one lucky winner will get a mystery box of fun stuff. Go to the survey now and tell me what you think!

Happy sewing,

Tricia Waddell

Stitch Editor-in-Chief
