More artwork by Ana Buzzalino

These three quiltlets utilize Ana’s sketch to stitch to color technique featured in the August/September 2013 issue of Quilting Arts Magazine. Clockwise from top are “Onion,” 8.5″ x 10.5″; “Flower,” 9.5″ x 9.5″; and “Pepper,” 8.5″ x 9″.

Ana used a vintage linen napkin to paint and partially quilt this fruit bowl. This unfinished piece is approximately 20″ x 20″.

  1. I love Ana’s work and intend to purchase some Inktense pencils asap.  In reading the article and her instructions, I see a reference to “textile media”.  I am not an artist, nor do I have any training in fabric painting or that type of art.  What is textile media?
