More 'Map It Out' Reader Challenge quilts

The word "map" can mean different things to different people. It is a verb and a noun, and can be used in many ways, with myriad meanings. It can be a simple, folded item in the glove compartment of your car or it can be a complex, detailed plan for your future.

In the December 2012/January 2013 issue of Quilting Arts, we challenged readers to create a 10" x 12" art quilt interpreting what the word map means to them. Over 100 readers participated and we were thrilled with their creativity and ingenuity. The entries were so diverse and clever; it was difficult to choose just a handful of finalists from all of the submissions. Thank you to all who submitted a quilt for this challenge. We hope you enjoy the sampling of pieces featured here and in the magazine.
