I always wanted to make a New York Beauty and decided to make this out of flannel.  It was great fun to make and I had no problems working with flannel.

This is fantastic! Did you do paper piecing to make this masterpiece? I am in awe. The points. The points! Nancy

Thanks for your nice comments.  I actually used a very thin interfacing instead of paper.  I drew my lines on the interfacing and used it just like paper piecing but it stays in the quilt.  Since it's very thin, it doesn't add much weight to the quilt.  I've found that it helps the flannel stay in place and not stretch.  It wasn't very difficult.  Give it a try!
