I made this for a fundraiser auction in the Seattle area - for Friends of the Cedar River Watershed. I learned the technique ffrom Elin Waterston and Jane Davila's Art Quilt Workbook--which I love!
Beautiful job on this piece. The design elements are very evident. Repetition of color and shape create a lovely sense of movement. You can feel the "upstream" desire of these salmon. Even the use of value and hue create rythm in this piece. Congratulations on a job well done.....Jim D
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed making this one.
Wicked lovely! I think there really is a current in the water with the quilting!
Beautiful quilt and for a great cause as well. Love your choice of colors/fabrics for the salmon!
Marvelous! The colors really grabbed my attention at first, but the movement and the details really held it. Nancy
