The Beet Goes On, Candy CB

This quilt was made with beet dyed fabric, using the "flower pounding" method using both the beet & it's leaves on various silk fabrics. I used trapunto, FM stitching to outline and enhance the images, with additional embellishment of beadding & couched yarn. The backgound is a batik scrap from another project.

I love it.  I have wondered about dying fabric with food, but I don't know how to do it.
