A small wall hanging inspired by a photo I took some time ago. Created using raw edge applique and thread painting, with mostly batiks and hand dyed fabrics.
Great ! I like the contrast of colors that makes the butterfly stand out .
This looks wonderful Anne, well done
Very attractive ! I like the way you showed both sides of the butterfly.
This piece is really beautiful, do you think you could post a close up.
Thank you everyone for your comments.
Riverart I do have close ups of this on my blog Anne's Creative Threads and I also wrote about how I created the design and the various stages in the process if you're interested.
Anne, your blog was great and I loved the process explanations. Really inspiring and helpful. Love your trip photos also and especially the fance caterpillar. It did look like it could give you a nasty sting, but worth the lookng at....Jim D
Beautiful work, Anne. I love the contrast between the two objects.
I did check out your website. Loved the photo of Miss Molly in the grasses. I printed it out and have it hanging on the wall in my office behind my desk. People sit and talk "serious stuff" and then always smile when they see her little face.
Nancur, thank you for commenting on my work. I'm glad you liked the picture of Molly too and that it makes people smile. She is so cute, I think she'll be featuring on my blog quite a bit.
