Here’s even more great information from Teri Lucas. Learn about the many different types of batting and which ones work best for machine quilting. Don’t miss Teri’s full article about machine quilting in International Quilt Festival: Quilt Scene, starting on page 118.

I've made a couple of quilts, but only pieced the tops and had them machine quilted by someone else. Now I want to try machine quilting a full size one myself. I have some batting that someone gave me, but it's only 52 inches wide, but very long - plenty long enough for two pieces 96 inches long. Is it OK to use more than one piece of batting for a quilt? Thanks for any info anyone can give me.
