This is a wholecloth painted quilt in a series based on photographs of orchids. It is for a group exhibition by Fiber Art Options, a group of seven artists from the Charlotte, NC, area. Our exhibition, called "Orchids: Sensuality Stitched," will be Feb. 6 - March14at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.

Beautiful Susan, I think you are doing magic with your machine. I have your workshop and I'm trying to get any good at fm quilting but It is so difficult. I don't know how you get that control, you must have a special gift or something.

Meta, a lot of it is just practice, practice, practice! Just hang in there and be patient with yourself; it will come. Hope the Workshop DVD will help you with the basics.

WOW!  I love this, the colors are amazing, the textural quality really captures the "feel" of an iris.
