I have been the proud parent of one or more basset hounds for at least 30 years and identify with their slow and deliberate ways. BUT - when necessary they become clowns, divas and king of their realms. I often wish I could be like one of them, free to express myself, make others laugh and not care who is watching. Thanks for your inspiration, Mortie and Beau!

My best friend owns or should I say is owned by a Basset.  The dog is such a goof! You really captured the basset spirit!  Shelby does not understand slow but definatly has  her deliberate ways LOL

I love your inner bassett.  I also have a bassett named Ginger.  They never fail to amuse!!  Love the quilt!!

We have also had bassets for the last 20 years. Your description of them is awesome. My current basset is King of  the Couch (don't panick he has a set of steps) and a Master Clown when he wants a belly rub. Thanks for sharing your talent!
