My inner animal is a rabbit. I tend to like watching the action in the meadow from my coyote brush shelter at the edge. As I worked on this piece I thought of so many ways I am a rabbit inside. It was awesome, thank you for the opportunity and the idea!

The face of the quilt is made of secondhand wool sweaters which I felted and pieced together. The rabbit panel is hand and machine embroidered, painted with fabric paint, and machine appliqued (silk organza and polyester sparkly stuff). There are a few beads and two vintage buttons. I quilted it by machine and by hand. The piece is backed with orange broadcloth and bound in whipstitch with Malabrigo wool.
