I finally finished it!  I posted this quilt last summer under " critique this art quilt".  Now it is finished.  It is my design, the mermaid is printed on fabric from a childrens coloring page from the web.  The background is pleated to mimic waves, and is also hand quilted.  The bottom is machine quilted.  There is hand applique, fused raw edge applique, beading, ribbon embroderary, couching, real shells, and rocks!  There is also thread painting and sequins.  This quilt is like an I Spy, there are things hidden throughout: a small scuba diver, starfish charm, and small fish everywhere.  You really need to see it upclose.  I will post a few closeups.  It was so much fun to make.  I used a ton of crazy quite stitches and techniques.  There is hand tatting as well as fused Angelina fibers for the jellyfish.

Hurray,  a finished quilt is the best quilt in the world. I remember this quilt. Congratulations on a job well done.
