The Ocelot once roamed free through all US states, but now is absent from all except Texas.

It is elusive in that it is difficult to keep track of its whereabouts and numbers still in existence. It enjoys living a private life and the mystery that surrounds its habits and lifestyle.

I am like the ocelot prefering a private life and enjoy creating art and craft that leave people asking'how did she do that?'

Stunning!  I like how you chose not to use a border.  It does not need one.

I like the duality black/white and color, it gives an unusual and stunning effect !

Outstanding!   Former comments are right,  it doesn't need a border, that would have been distracting.  A Perfect job, what size is it?

Thanks for all your lovely comments. It's 12"x12", and from an image in the National Geographic magazine.

I traced the photo to make a pattern and matched the colours with batik fabrics fusing them to a black background . I then raw-edge appliqued each piece down and sewed on the whiskers.

Beautiful and inspiring!  Also should make us think about why the ocelot is so rare and encourage us to protect our vanishing species.
