This piece was my 2009 entry into our art quilt show - it won best of show. I wrote a small story to go with it called Reincarnation. It is the story of a chair maker who lives at the edge of a forest. Each evening he sits in his favorite chair and looks out into the trees that become his chairs. At the end of his days, he returns from whence he came and the chair at the edge of the forest does the same. The majority of this fabric was made from my hand painted fabric and detail has been added with colored pencil and fabric paint.
