I started this with a piece of handmade felt that spoke tree shape to me ! I just went wild embellishing with assorted rovings and silk adding bits of fibres and topping areas with pieces of chifon scarves. i hand needle felted the nose eyebrows and mouth to add more dimention. The leaves are made from painted drier sheets with wool embellished in then hand embroidered. I free motioned swirls to resemble the knots in the bark and i also added some hand embroidery and seed beads you can see close ups on my blog http://socr8v.blogspot.com/
