Title: "OLACO"

Challenge Theme: Fresh Picked

Size: 12"W x 12"H x 1"D

“Fresh Picked” means picking vegetables myself, right out of the garden. Better yet, to stand in the garden and graze. I have never used pesticides in my garden, which allows me to enjoy them with no worries. In this piece, the fresh picked vegetables
are front and center, embraced by organic guardians shown in the borders above and below. Along the top border are lady bugs, representing the guardians above ground, and along the bottom, the friendly worms I find in the soil.

Unbelievable how excellent you have depicted these vegetables, especially the green asparagus.  Love the lady bugs, great tiny helpers in a garden.

Once again your work amazes with its beauty and realism.  Even I would eat the veggies -  it seems one can reach out and pick them straight from the garden!
