Let me introduce my father, who taught me how to draw when I was a child. As he does artistic mosaics, I chose a fabric frame that reminds us of his art. As usually, I free motion stitched everything once the fabrics were glued.

Hello Cousette!

Its beautiful! The expression on his face is so natural. As if he's looking me into my eyes.Did you use a shirt of him?

i like the way you made his eyes, with just some stichting lines.

Greetings, Anneke

Hello, Anneke !

No,I didn't use one of my father's shirt, I simply recomposed his shirt, just as we do for the portrait ! it was a bit of a challenge, but, "yes,we can do it " ! Everyone can also feel I deeply love my father, who is the best man I know !

Your portraits areg getting better all the time Josette. I think I like this one best! I love the little hairs sticking out on his head.

Your portrait looks so natural, like he's sitting right in front of you.  I want to do one using this technique in memory of my Dad, but I haven't been able to start.
