This quilt came from a calendar picture I saw at a friend's house.  It was  my first real attempt at using paints.   Each leaf was painted separately on a very light green dyed fabric and then added the veins and painted some more.  The persimmon  was painted on a very light yellow  mottled dyed fabric.  The background was a light off white fabric that I did some shading on. I then machine appliqed each piece to the background. For a first time using paints I thought it came out pretty good.

What a beautiful quilt.........the leaves are so pretty without distracting from the persimmon.  It not only came out pretty good,  but beautiful....well done.

I love this. Your shading with the paints is great. Makes me want to pick the fruit right off the quilt. What kind of paints did you use?
